We have officially launched a new project: ASTRID.

ASTRID is a new and ambitious project of Space Team Aachen, which aims to integrate the know-how and technologies from previous developments and projects. The rocket has a hybrid propulsion and is specifically designed as a competition rocket to participate in the European Rocketry Challenge (EuRoC) in 2026. The goal of this competition is to reach a given height as accurately as possible and to demonstrate one's engineering skills.

The project takes an innovative approach to the development of experimental rocket systems. The focus is on the use of a hybrid engine. It is characterized by a high level of safety and ease of use, making it an attractive alternative to conventional liquid or solid propellant propulsion systems. In addition to the engine technology, the project focuses on the development of advanced aerodynamic and recovery systems.
